Our dynamic startup in its early stages, is seeking a visionary VP of R&D to join their team and

drive their technology and product development to new heights!

Position Overview:

Are you an experienced R&D leader with a passion for foodtech and a desire to make a meaningful

impact? We’re looking for a creative and hands-on VP of R&D to spearhead the company's technological

efforts, working closely with the CEO to transform their vision into reality. If you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and possess deep expertise in the world of protein this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

 Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-thinking technological roadmap that

aligns with the company's overall business strategy and drives innovation in protein-based food

preservation.

 Development Plan: Transform the technological roadmap into a robust, dynamic

development plan with clear timelines, budgets, and risk assessments to meet business

and technological goals.

 Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary R&D team, fostering a

culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

 Hands-On Contribution: Actively engage in development efforts, ensuring high-quality

outcomes and readiness to roll up your sleeves as needed in an early-stage startup.

 Stakeholder Communication: Articulate the technology strategy and capabilities to

potential partners, investors, and other stakeholders, positioning the company as a leader in

the foodtech space.

 Innovation and Growth: Drive strategic growth initiatives and ensure that the company

remains at the forefront of technological advancements in food preservation.

Qualifications:

 Proven Experience: Extensive experience in a senior R&D leadership role within the

foodtech or biotechnology industries, with a track record of successful product

development.

 Expertise in Protein Biochemistry: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in protein

biochemistry, with a strong understanding of its applications in food preservation.

 Multidisciplinary Knowledge: Familiarity with precision fermentation, microbiology, food

formulation development, and food industry regulations is a significant advantage.

 Educational Background: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.

 Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, including

timelines, budgets, resources, and risks.

 Leadership and Problem-Solving: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to navigate

ambiguity, solve problems creatively, and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced

environment.

 Entrepreneurial Spirit: A resourceful, independent thinker with a can-do attitude, ready to
