Coding Instructor for children

LeapLearner Israel is an international coding school for children and youth. We offer both in-person and online coding courses using an innovative, game-based methodology that is engaging and effective. Our instructors are highly qualified in computer science and are trained by LeapLearner Global. Located in Givatayim, Tel Aviv, Netanya, and online, our courses teach programming languages like Scratch, Python, JavaScript, and C#, preparing children for success in the tech and startup world. Currently, hundreds of children in Israel are part of the global LeapLearner community, which includes over a million students in Asia, Africa, and North America.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Coding Instructor for children. The Coding Instructor will be responsible for teaching programming languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, and C# to children in a small-group setting. The instructor will be expected to leverage game-based learning techniques to engage students and track student progress. The role is mostly remote.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Scratch, Python, JavaScript, and C#
• Experience in teaching or tutoring children and youth
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and use game-based learning techniques
• Excellent communication skills and patience in working with children
• Formal education in Computer Science or a related field
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid model (both from home and on-site in Givatayim)
• Prior experience in the education sector is a plus
