QA Automation Engineer

About the role:

As a QA Automation Engineer specializing in mobile applications, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the highest quality of our mobile products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify test requirements, create robust test cases, and drive continuous improvement in our QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications (iOS and Android) using tools such as Appium, Selenium, or other relevant frameworks.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Execution & Reporting: Execute automated tests, analyze results, and generate detailed test reports. Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure timely feedback and efficient development cycles.
• Tool Evaluation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools and technologies to enhance testing processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address and resolve issues. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning sessions.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for test cases, scripts, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on mobile applications.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar. Experience with mobile testing tools and techniques for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Testing Skills: Solid understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mobile Development Experience: Experience with mobile development frameworks or languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin) is a plus.
• Agile Environment: Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
