Field Application Engineer

One of our clients, a leading company in quantum encryption technology, is looking to hire a skilled and innovative Field Application professional. The company is at the forefront of improving cybersecurity by using quantum physics, advanced encryption, FPGA technology, high-speed electronics, and fiber-optic communication to deliver unique encryption solutions for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).

The Field Application will manage all technical and technological aspects related to selling and supporting customers and partners. This role is critical to the sales and ongoing support processes, requiring the development of deep trust with both potential and existing clients. The individual will play a key role in the pre-and post-sales processes, working closely with product, marketing, R&D, sales, and operations teams to drive business growth

Key Responsibilities

• Engage fully in the pre / post-sales processes with customers and partner
• Prepare and deliver pitches, demos, and technical sales collateral to customers and partner
• Provide training to partners and customer
• Design, develop, and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) projects on-site at customer/partner location
• Serve as the 2nd or 3rd tier for support, addressing a complex technical issue
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure critical customer feedback is communicated to product, R&D, and go-to-market team
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation plans, and user guide

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a Field Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, system integration, or related role, preferably in the telecommunications and/or cybersecurity industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience
• Experience in telecommunications with a strong understanding of network systems, communication protocols, and optical communication
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and API development
• Experience with optical technology
• High-level proficiency in English is required
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
