System Engineer

A Day in Your Life at Ophir Optronics (MKS Instruments):

As a System Engineer at Ophir Optronics (MKS Instruments), you will partner with the Beam Profilers R&D team to expand our product line of laser beam measurement systems. In this role, you will report to the Hardware R&D Manager

You will make an impact by:

• Designing new, multidisciplined products, expanding our lineup of product offerings.
• Planning and executing product tests of complex opto-mechanical systems, including documented plans and reports.
• Designing and implementing test benches for complete system testing of new product developments.
• Collecting and analyzing statistical data, yielding otherwise hidden insights.
• Troubleshooting problems across a wide variety of disciplines, including opto-mechanics, electronics, firmware and software.
  
  

• Bachelor of Science in Physics or Engineering (Optical, Mechanical, Electronic) or related fields of study. MS an advantage.
• 2 years of related work experience
• Academic or industrial experience with design of optical systems
• Hands-on lab experience
• Ability to quickly and independently learn new design tools and environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  
  

• Professional experience with one or more of SolidWorks, Zemax, ORCAD
• Experience with statistical analysis methods.
• High level of technical expertise in standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  
  

• Must be available to work full-time in Jerusalem
