QC Report Writer Job

Next to reporting skills, sound knowledge and experience is required with offshore construction works, including pipeline & structure installation works as well as deep water positioning via USBL & LBL. Furthermore knowledge and experience with pipeline eventing and online surveying

Support is provided from the office to populate pre-made GIS templates (part of the field deliverables). Two data processors are on board to process the data but their work needs to be coordinated/ QC’d bij the QC report writer.

Candidate could have ideally a snr online surveyor background with a good understanding of data acquisition & processing of ROV sensor data (multibeam, pipetracker, LBL/USBL/INS-DVL)

Full Tasks

Ensure that the data processing and reporting standards comply with standard procedures, (work) instructions, guidelines and professional industry practices;

Check and correct processing deliverables, including but not limited to listings, bathymetry data and shape files;

Populate GIS templates and project geodatabases in cooperation with office survey staff

Ensure data handling and structuring meets the as-built requirements of the final deliverable;

Ensure that data administration, storage, archiving is performed correctly and actively motivate the processors to perform good housekeeping;

Write, compile and issue survey field deliverables (field reports and site memos) that are data based, accurate, checked and provided all in a timely manner to the Party Chief;

Notify, in close collaboration with the processors, the Party Chief on any deficiencies or incorrect setup in the online navigation and data recording systems;

Keep Party Chief involved on the status and progress of the offline survey activities and clarify, in close collaboration with the Party Chief, any issues with the data;

Where required inform Supervisors Reporting & Processing and/or Survey Manager on actual status of the processed data and reporting, including issues related to the hardware and software;

Produce detailed handover notes for on signing QC Report Writer before departure;

On request, take on additional responsibilities and carry out other tasks in addition to those described here when needed, in line with the individual experience and competence.
