NodeJS Software Engineer

A high-tech company develops an open-source website-building platform, and its website builder ranks among the top five WordPress plugins globally. The company is transforming how web creators work by enabling the creation and design of professional websites.

The platform has millions of users, including freelancers and agencies in over 180 countries. The first version was launched a decade ago, and today, it powers over 15 million active websites worldwide. The company is profitable and independent of investor funding.

Located in central Israel near a train station, the company has about 300 employees and offers a hybrid work model with two work-from-home days per week.

Role Overview:

• Part of a team of two, reporting to a Team Lead
• Working in a unique team that generates and implements Performance improvement ideas
• Involves Backend development in NodeJS/TypeScript within a GCP environment
• Team operates Bottom-Up, engaging with various technologies
• Direct impact on the user experience
• Focus on Performance optimization, Monitoring, and Test-driven development
• Tech stack includes NodeJS, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, CI/CD, Terraform, and GC

Requirements-

• 5 years of backend development experience
• 2 years of experience working with TypeScript / Node.js
• Experience with large-scale production environments, microservices architecture, and both relational and NoSQL databases at scale
• 2 years of experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP), Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD tools
