Data Scientist

A Fintech startup has developed an AI/ML system that assists in decision-making and risk management in the areas of loans and investments for growing startup companies, transforming the process of granting loans to large companies.

The patented technology has the capability to predict future revenues, cash flow status, client repayment ability, and more.

The company has sites in London, the USA, and other locations, and is funded by well-known, major investors with over $150M in backing. They are in a growth phase and offer competitive and excellent conditions.

The company is located in Tel Aviv, near a train line, and currently has 100 employees.

Role Overview-

• 90% of the role involves theoretical/research-oriented ML work.
• Responsibilities include Data Science tasks, working with tabular data, text, LLM/NLP challenges, time series, and Generative AI.
• Tasks include document classification, entity recognition, statistical analysis, and sentiment analysis.
• Coding in Python and SQL.
• Collaboration with a team that includes both Data Scientists (DS) and Machine Learning Engineers (MLE), who assist with deployment to production.
• Close collaboration with the product management team.

Requirements-

• MSc/Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or equivalent
• 4-5 years of experience as a data scientist
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience in Time Series Analysis and Large Language Models (LLM)
• Solid understanding of NLP techniques, including document classification, entity recognition, and sentiment analysis.
• Extensive background in statistical analysis
• Profound analytical skills and true love for data
• A multitasking team player with the ability to work independently
• Background in the financial industry as well as credit assessments - an advantage
• Experience in writing SQL scripts and queries - an advantage
