A Day in the Life

As a Senior Health Services Consultant at Medtronic, you will engage with client hospitals, understand their most pressing business challenges, and deliver high-value services that enhance quality, productivity, and the overall experience for both patients and staff.

Our Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team goes beyond providing products and devices—we focus on creating more value for patients. Integrated Health Solutions leverages Medtronic’s expertise in process optimization, deep therapy knowledge, and capital resources. We currently partner with hospitals and clinics, offering solutions that help care providers optimize costs and outcomes while driving higher value and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Delivers and/or manages assigned projects while collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• May mentor colleagues or supervise the work of junior professionals.
• The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing projects—from design through implementation—while adhering to policies and utilizing specialized knowledge and skills typically gained through advanced education.
• Works independently to implement strategic goals and establish operational plans for the job area.
• Assignments are often self-initiated, determining and pursuing necessary actions to achieve desired results.
• Organizational Impact: Significantly influences the design of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy, with a substantial impact on functional results.
• Conducts briefings with senior leaders within the job function and negotiates to reach agreements.
• Typically manages large, moderately complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving sizable cross-functional teams.
  
  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally from consulting firms serving hospitals or from medical device companies in similar roles.
• Proven experience in initiating and managing complex projects in the medical device industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
• Ability to motivate and influence others without direct authority.
