Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Everysight. The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including hardware development, electronics hardware design, circuit design, and hardware architecture. They will work on designing and optimizing the hardware components of our smart glasses.

Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for hardware development of cutting-edge augmented reality glasses. The development process spans from specification to lab setup and mass production.
• Collaboration with the Layout Editor, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Team, and Purchasing Manager.
• Direct the effort with ODM/OEM partners to design and test hardware solutions;
• Work with industry partners and researchers to innovate and shape future technologies.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team and partners to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic board design, with a strong emphasis on microcontroller-based systems and PCB assembly management with third-party vendors.
• Proven expertise in HDI, high layer count PCBs, materials, and signal integrity challenges with high-speed (5 Gbps+) signal designs.
• Familiarity with the entire PCB development process (specification, component selection, schematic, layout, debugging, production).
• Hands-on experience in the lab for debugging and building prototypes.
• Experience with ORCAD and Allegro design.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers
• Understanding of power management and analog/digital signal processing
• Experience with schematic and layout design tools
• Experience in product development lifecycle including prototyping, testing, and manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Relevant skills and qualifications such as experience in wearable technology, optics, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations would be beneficial.
