International Relations Coordinator

AKIM Israel is seeking an International Relations Coordinator.

This is a 60% position (3 days/week) with growth opportunities.

AKIM operates 68 branches across Israel and provides opportunity and inclusion for persons with intellectual disabilities in all facets of life. Programs include community living, employment training and job placement, college study, day centers, self-advocacy, legal representation, and much more.

The international relations department seeks investors from abroad, supports the Friends of AKIM network around the world, and represents AKIM within the international community.

We are seeking the right person for the challenge to increase awareness for AKIM’s trailblazing projects among communities that care about people with disabilities and about improving Israeli society.

Responsibilities

• Effectively engage individuals, foundations, and federations around the globe.

• Compose grant proposals and reports for donors  

• Seek new sources of support, research potential donors

• Assist marketing efforts to grow the AKIM brand internationally

• Create content for social media, newsletters, and the website.

• Organize events, plan visits, and host delegations

• Update information in the CRM system

Qualifications

• English speaker with excellent written communication skills

• Minimum of one year of experience in resource development or content writing

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Tech/computer savvy with social media, digital platforms, and AI familiarity

• Familiarity with the world of philanthropy

• Proficient in Hebrew for interaction with colleagues

• Identification with the values and mission of AKIM Israel
