Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - freelance, part-time, remote

Mobilicom provides cybersecure and robust end-to-end solutions for drones and robotics. We are looking for a freelance CISO to join our team, part-time, remote.

As a Freelance CISO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust security measures to protect the organization’s information assets. You will assess the current security landscape, identify risks, and recommend strategies to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture. Your role will be critical in safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Security Strategy Development:

  - Define the information security strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

  - Design and manage the organization’s security architecture to protect against threats.

• Risk Assessment and Management:

  - Implement risk management practices to mitigate identified risks.

• Policy Development:

  - Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines.

• Incident Response Management:

  - Lead the development and execution of incident response plans.

  - Coordinate with internal and external teams to manage security incidents and breaches.

• Training and Awareness:

  - Define the cybersecurity training programs for employees.

• Vendor Management:

  - Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure they meet security standards.

• Continuous Monitoring:

  - Implement and manage continuous monitoring processes to detect and respond to security threats in real-time.

• Reporting and Communication:

  - Report on the status of the organization’s cybersecurity posture to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

- Proven experience as a CISO or in a senior information security role.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.

- Fluent in English (writing and speaking)

- ISO27001 certification experience

- OT cyber security experience - advantage

- Experience working with defense and/or drone companies – advantage
