Software Engineer - Cybersecurity Startup

What We Need:

We need an experienced startup Software Engineer. Full Stack and Back End! This role is suited to someone who has experience navigating the challenges that being in the 'lean startup' mode presents. You will need to have 'been there and got the T-shirt' with complex engineering situations in Python, taking customers on a journey with you to better adoption of products you have represented. We are not looking for junior or mid-level engineers just yet, we need someone with good experience.

Our mission is to revolutionize the field of cybersecurity using cutting-edge technologies, including AI and predictive models, to safeguard sensitive information across multiple platforms. We operate at an unprecedented scale, processing and securing massive datasets to enhance security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications using FastAPI, Celery, and Python on the backend, coupled with React, Zustand, and Chakra for the front end.
• Architect and implement complex data solutions leveraging MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch, ensuring optimal data retrieval, security, and performance at scale.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML teams to integrate predictive models into our systems, enhancing cybersecurity measures and real-time anomaly detection.
• Lead the development of robust APIs, microservices, and backend components that support the front end and various third-party integrations.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of services, ensuring high availability and scalability in a distributed environment.
• Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) projects from start to finish, working directly with customers to showcase our technology in live and demo environments.
• Mentor junior developers, lead code reviews, and contribute to the team's technical growth and direction.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, particularly in AI and cybersecurity, applying them to ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer, with a strong emphasis on both frontend and backend development.
• Expertise in Python, with extensive experience in FastAPI, Celery, and working with databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong front-end development skills using React, Zustand, and Chakra UI.
• Proven experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Previous experience in a startup environment, particularly in cybersecurity, is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of large-scale data processing, big data technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience integrating AI and predictive models into production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to think on your feet solving complicated coding challenges quickly and efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt to rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working on cybersecurity solutions or products.
• Familiarity with large-scale, real-time data processing systems and anomaly detection.
• Background in AI/ML, particularly in the context of cybersecurity or predictive analytics.
