About Us

Pixel Pie is an up and coming mobile game studio based in Tel Aviv, founded by industry veterans and backed by leading gaming companies and investors. We’re around 20 designers and developers, all working together on an innovative game, based on massively popular casual mechanics with a multiplayer twist and a 3D game environment. 

We’re looking for an exceptional Game UX Lead to join us as part of the core team and help shape the future of the team and the game.

About the Position

You’ll be reporting to the Chief Creative, working in a pivotal role where you’ll collaborate daily with our Game Design leaders and other senior Stakeholders. Your UX and design work will have a direct and significant impact on almost every aspect of the game’s UI, menus, .

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and understand Game Design requirements, and convert them into appealing designs while considering the game’s existing design language and iterating based on feedback
• Present and explain these designs to stakeholders
• Work closely with Unity developers to explain and implement these designs
• Gradually build and maintain a robust design system for the game while working on everyday tasks
• Combine long-term UX thinking with hand-on work on short-term design work
• Respond to requirements from colleagues in other teams
• Provide guidance to junior members of the team

Requirements

• Senior UX/UI designer and leader
• Around 8 years of experience, with at least 4 years in mobile games or a closely related field
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Flexible thinking and ability to deal with quick iterations and changes in direction
• Excellent and proactive communicator

Nice to have

• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming trends and player expectations
• Experience working with 3D artists, developers and game environments
• Experience working with or around Unity
• Experience with Figma
