Infrastructure Expert

Description

As an Infrastructure Expert with specialized knowledge in cloud technologies, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will play a critical role in architecting scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions that support our business operations and growth. This role requires deep expertise in both traditional data center infrastructure and cloud platforms, with a focus on optimizing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design and Architecture:

• Design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions for on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Define architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices to ensure alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
• Evaluate new technologies and trends in infrastructure and cloud computing to recommend and implement improvements.
  
  

Cloud Integration And Migration

• Lead cloud migration initiatives, assessing current infrastructure, identifying migration strategies, and executing migration plans to cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services in cloud environments.
• Implement hybrid cloud solutions and manage connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud resources.
  
  

Infrastructure Automation And Orchestration

• Implement infrastructure automation and orchestration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability of infrastructure deployments.
• Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  
  

Performance Monitoring And Optimization

• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track performance metrics, health status, and resource utilization of infrastructure components.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of infrastructure resources, including servers, storage, networks, and databases.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve infrastructure reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness.
  
  

Security And Compliance

• Implement and enforce security best practices and policies to protect infrastructure assets and data in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security controls.
• Collaborate with security teams to respond to security incidents and implement incident response procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure solutions in both traditional data center and cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking) and management tools.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation, orchestration, and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures, including integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud resources.
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
