Software Engineer

Navan has disrupted the corporate Travel, Payment, and Expense market putting the user's needs always at the center of our solutions. In your role, you will have a high degree of flexibility to shape a fast growing product from the ground up, working in a high profile cross-functional team and launching new features at a fast pace.

As a Software Engineer, you will develop core product features and services that power our innovative Meetings & Events solution used by thousands of users across the globe.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, launch and evolve the backend and frontend of the Meetings & Events platform in a scalable and reliable way
• Build out impactful product features
• Ensure the quality of the features you built, following-up on usage and issues post release
• Contribute and drive frameworks that lead to significant user experience improvements
• Learn from and assist the team in understanding and adopting new technologies
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams
• Assist the leadership to execute the long-term vision
• Work side by side and get to learn from a highly motivated and talented team
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in software development building products
• Solid programming skills and CS fundamentals
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures
• Domain expertise in the travel industry is a plus
• Familiarity with Angular, typescript, and React is a plus
• Familiarity with Spring Framework and Hibernate or similar ORM technologies is a plus
• Familiarity with Java, AWS and/or distributed systems is a plus
• Track record of ownership demonstrated through shipping production-quality code equipped with testing, monitoring and documentation
• Passion for investigating and solving problems and willingness to learn and utilize new tools and technologies
• Team player with strong communication
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
