Dr. Chaim Baskin, head of the Intelligent Systems, Geometric Computing, and Perception (INSIGHT) Laboratory at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, is seeking highly motivated Post-docs, Ph.D., and M.Sc. students to join his research team. The lab conducts pioneering research in areas such as representation learning, enhancing the efficiency of neural network training and inference, multi-modality, and graph and geometric deep learning. These advanced methods are applied across various fields, including computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), autonomous vehicles, medical imaging, and biology.

Position Requirements:Master's Candidates:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably with honors) from a leading university.
• Significant experience in deep learning through academic projects or industry experience.

Ph.D. Candidates:

• At least one academic paper published as the leading author, preferably in a top-tier machine learning conference or journal.

Postdoc Candidates:

• Extensive publication record in top-tier machine learning venues.
• A research statement must be included in the application.

Position: Engineer in Teaching and Research Laboratories for Deep Learning

Job Description: In this role, you will be actively involved in cutting-edge research within Deep Learning laboratories. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and supporting the needs of teaching and research laboratories focused on deep learning.
2. Planning, developing, setting up, operating, and maintaining advanced infrastructures for teaching and research using computational accelerators for deep learning.
3. Establishing and maintaining supporting infrastructures, including data storage, user management, version control, and managing and sharing open-source code on platforms such as GitHub and Hugging Face.
4. Working with and maintaining physical infrastructures such as motion capture systems, embedded systems, and small autonomous tools.
5. Setting up, training, and supporting work environments and frameworks dedicated to deep learning, including Conda, PIP, Pytorch, TensorFlow, and other specialized software packages.
6. Assisting and training students, instructors, and faculty members in experiments, simulations, and software installations in the teaching and research labs.
7. Providing guidance and assistance in evaluating students working on final projects.
8. Procuring equipment and components for the teaching and research laboratories, managing supplier quotes, and overseeing equipment inventory.
9. Providing support in various activities within the school, offering assistance where needed.
10. Ensuring safety regulations are followed in all laboratory activities, in accordance with legal requirements.

Reporting to: Technical Operations Manager of the School.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. At least 3 years of experience in DevOps (experience in MLOps is an advantage).
3. Strong knowledge of software packages such as Pytorch and TensorFlow.
4. Experience in setting up and maintaining deep learning infrastructures (advantageous).
5. Experience in training and providing technical instruction (advantageous).
