As a Senior Backend Data Engineer at Prismm, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and enabling Prismm to push the boundaries of user experience.

Position Overview

In this dual role, you will lead backend development and data pipeline efforts, prioritizing data integrity and efficiency. You will be an integral part of our development team, driving the performance, quality, and scalability of our data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, performance optimization, and scaling of our data pipelines and backend architecture.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team and providing professional support to full-stack developers.
• Assess and experiment with tools that improve data quality across the company.
• Develop next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Solve issues with data and data pipelines, prioritizing based on customer impact, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Promote and drive innovative engineering solutions.
• Advance your technical, behavioral, and interpersonal competencies through on-the-job opportunities, experimental projects, hackathons, conferences, and active community participation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience developing in microservices architecture under Kubernetes in the cloud.
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS-SQL, etc.
• Experience with SSO integrations.
• Experience designing end-to-end systems and knowledge of concepts (CI/CD, deployment, caching, NoSQL, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in data modeling and query optimization.
• Proven experience with NodeJS-TypeScript / Python / Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies and data platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Athena).
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure.
