Physicist or Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an engineer for developing approximate models of various physical phenomena occurring in space, air, sea, or land. The purpose of these models is to predict electro-optical signatures. The developer is required to validate and verify the models against radiometric measurements in the field, in ground facilities, or through comparison with literature. The candidate will perform simulations in the areas of heat and mass transfer, viscous/compressive and reactive flows, for the purpose of calculating thermal signatures. The role requires skills in developing approximate, or semi-empirical models and use of simulation tools.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Exact Sciences.

- At least 2 years of experience in the field of heat transfer modelling and in physical simulations.

- Good understanding of heat and mass transfer science is a must.

- Basic understanding of electro-optics.

- Proficiency in programming in MATLAB or PYTHON.

- Some acquaintance with CFD simulation tool is valuable.

- Willingness to obtain security clearance.
