Cyber Innovation Specialist

What You'll Do:

• Proactively engage with business and cyber leadership to map needs and identify innovation opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrating security measures across the organization.
• Research and assess emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends to strengthen our security posture.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with VCs, universities, and accelerators in key innovation markets.
• Update the Startup Database monthly to provide senior leadership with valuable insights.
• Represent Bayer at technology conferences and ecosystem events for knowledge acquisition and networking.
• Conduct thorough technical due diligence on startups for collaboration potential and risk assessments.

Key Collaborations:

• Work closely with the Head of Digital Hub on strategy and operational matters.
• Engage daily with the Innovation Team for planning, development, and support.
• Partner with Security Architects, Governance, and Compliance teams to map cybersecurity needs.
• Liaise with business users and vendors to gather requirements and ensure satisfaction.

• Deep understanding of technology trends and key industry players.
• Proven ability to navigate large corporations and work effectively within a matrix structure.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills with excellent communication abilities (written and oral).
• Strategic thinker capable of translating ideas into actionable plans.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience in agile project environments with a results-driven approach.
• Meticulous attention to data analysis and implementing security measures.
• Strong sense of ethics and integrity regarding sensitive information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.
• Experience with enterprise and global companies.
• Experience with operational technology (OT) systems and infrastructure is a plus.
• Open-mindedness and creativity in developing new approaches to cybersecurity challenges.
