Vice President Research And Development

We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented VP R&D to join us and lead the R&D group.

You should demonstrate high professional and interpersonal skills, and always strive for excellence. Using comprehensive business and technical knowledge, you will lead the entire development process starting from the planning phase, through the development and testing process to successful release to our customers. On this role you will report directly to the CEO and works closely with the Product, Delivery, Customer Success, HR, Finance, etc.

As part of this role, you will be defining R&D strategy and methodologies, optimize the work process and efficiency of the entire tech cycle . The ideal candidate will have leadership and vision management skills, as well as the ability to execute the technological vision.

How your day to day will look like?

-Producing valuable content for our customers

-Defining aggressive improvement goals for the group and the product, while leading the group to achieving these goals

-Provide tech leadership, mentor the team, and implement best practices

-Solving problems in every aspect (personal, professional, technical, procedural, etc.)

-Professional growth of the group members

-Recruiting new group members

-Comprehensive knowledge of our products and how customers use it

-Working hand-in-hand with product, CS, delivery and support to execute features

from the requirements to acceptance in the field

Requirements:

-At least 3 years’ experience as a VP R&D but Hands on.

-Experience with managing small development teams to maintain high levels of visibility and efficiency.

5 years' experience with Cloud technologies

-Building and managing remote teams – must.

Microservice architectures

-Java programming and OO design

-High throughput systems - must

-CI / CD - not hands on, but must understand the concepts

-Working with Big-Data infrastructures - big advantage

-Proven technical skills and self-learning ability, capable of thoroughly understanding the functional and technical aspects of a complex system

-Ability to initiate and lead agile processes to completion

-Innovator by nature and ability to think out of the box.

-Proactive, highly motivated individual with an excellent work ethic and goal-oriented approach

-Excellent communication and interpersonal, proactive, fast learner skills

-Information security experience – an advantage

-Strong leadership and ownership
