CTO - Generative AI Startup

An exciting, well-funded Generative AI startup based in Tel Aviv, poised to revolutionize how industries leverage AI, is seeking a visionary CTO to lead our talented technology team and drive the development of our cutting-edge AI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Leadership: Provide strategic and technical leadership for the entire technology team, including software development, AI research, and infrastructure.
• Platform Development: Oversee the design, development, and scaling of our Generative AI platform, ensuring robustness, performance, and security.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 21 engineers and scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Product Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to align technology strategy with business goals, ensuring our platform meets market needs and drives growth.
• Software Development Processes: Implement and refine agile development methodologies, roadmap planning, and code review practices to ensure efficient and high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proven track record in designing and developing large-scale Big Data platforms and AI/Generative AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with the full Machine Learning development lifecycle using open-source frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in building software data platforms with Node.js, Python, React/Redux, and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with Cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and testing frameworks.
• Leadership & Management:
• 10+ years of experience in the software industry, with at least 5+ years in a VP of Software or similar executive role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring teams of engineers and applied scientists.
• Strong project management skills, able to define roadmaps, set milestones, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Business Acumen:
• Deep understanding of SaaS, Cloud, AI/Generative AI, or Big Data platform business models.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into market-driven product solutions.
• Excellent Communication:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
