Head of Industry Relations Unit

Role Overview:

- Reporting to: Vice President for Innovation and Industry Relations.

- Main Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of industry relations, initiate and manage research partnerships, build and maintain industry-community connections, and develop innovative strategies to enhance collaboration between academia and industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the unit; identify and leverage collaboration opportunities.

- Partnership Development: Initiate and manage research partnerships; maintain strong industry relationships.

- Community Building: Create and nurture a community of collaborating companies; organize events and networking opportunities.

- Coordination: Work with industry relations representatives from various faculties; serve as a contact point for industry partners.

- Innovation: Develop innovative approaches and processes for academic-industry engagement.

- Management: Manage budget and resources; prepare reports and an annual work plan; track success metrics.

*Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in a relevant field (Engineering or Science).

- At least 10 years of experience in academia-industry relations or business development.

- Proven track record in managing research partnerships and building collaborations.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and adapt to changes.

- Fluency in Hebrew and English; familiarity with information systems and project management software is a plus.
