Chief Information Officer - Relocation to Angola

Role

We are looking to hire a CIO to lead the IT team, reporting directly to the Senior Management.

The CIO will be an influencing business partner to the company divisions and corporate functions. The CIO will lead, drive, and execute the IT, cyber security, business applications, and Information systems strategy and will lead multiple teams to excellence while ensuring cost-effectiveness and best service according to agreed SLA.

Responsibilities

· Build a long-term strategy for information systems, business applications, IT and cybersecurity to promote data-based decisions in all areas of operations.

· Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, aligned with business objectives.

· Lead and manage multiple teams, distributed across multiple regions and sites, that develop, implement and support business applications and IT infrastructure.

· Responsible for the cyber security area.

· Responsible for compliance of the application and the IT infrastructure environment to the needed standards.

· Establish business partnerships with Leadership to deeply understand their business processes.

· Oversee the implementation, and optimization of applications’ solutions, harnessing their full potential for business growth.

· Oversee the day-to-day operations, budget and support of critical business applications and IT infrastructure, ensuring quality resolution in timely manner.

· Manage suppliers. Cooperate with corporate procurement to optimize the cost structure.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth within the teams.

Requirements

· MUST: At least 5 years of prior experience in CIO / Head of IT / Head of MIS role in the corporate of global companies with more than 500 users.

· MUST: At least 3 years of prior experience in managing teams of 20 IT / IS professionals and above.

· MUST: Previous experience with IT Infrastructure & Applications

· MUST: Proven track record of leading cross-organization digital transformation initiatives.

· MUST: Strong background in enterprise-level project management and support.

· MUST: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent.

· MUST: Fluent in English and Portuguese

· Demonstrated expertise in establishing and maintaining strategic business partnerships.

· Previous experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environment – an advantage.
