The role

Regatta develops a distributed database from scratch. We are seeking a candidate with the right combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in managing complex projects to lead Regatta's software development efforts as the Project Manager. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for and manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders, and use GANTT charts to help visualize and track multiple project schedules. You will report to the company's VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets
• Allocating and monitoring resources efficiently and ensuring they are used effectively
• Tracking projects' progress against the timeline. Ensuring that milestones are met and that the projects stay on schedule
• Monitoring and identifying potential risks that could impact the project's timeline, budget, or quality
• Keeping stakeholders informed about projects' progress, issues, and changes
  
  

• Both analytical and an executor, works in a systematic and orderly manner
• Strong skills in project scheduling, resource allocation, and time management
• Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately tracked and managed
• Risk Management: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks effectively
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, especially under pressure
• Solid understanding of the technical aspects of the projects being managed (e.g., software development, engineering principles)
• Experience working with MS Project and GANTT charts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate project goals, status, and risks
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Relevant academic degree, for example Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, other relevant Engineering degree
