Join our Data Engineering team at Plarium as a Data Product Manager. In this role, you'll work closely with internal customers to identify key problems and develop data-driven solutions that make a real difference. You'll need to think strategically to ensure our data products meet high standards while ensuring our technical solutions effectively address business needs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal customers, product managers, and management to identify business challenges and create impactful data solutions that address key issues and enhance our organization’s overall performance.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs, considering all layers, including data sources, structures, logic, and constraints.
- Drive the creation of detailed specifications and documentation, ensuring that all data products are developed and maintained according to the highest standards and best practices.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data products, taking end-to-end responsibility from the data backend, including sources and structures, to the frontend experience for end-users.
- Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of data products by proactively identifying potential issues and guiding the team in implementing effective solutions.
- Communicate complex ideas effectively to technical teams, customers, and senior management, ensuring alignment and clarity.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Product Manager, Data Analyst, BI Developer, or in a similar technical role related to data.
- Proven ability to understand and anticipate user needs, even when they are not explicitly communicated, and translate them into actionable data product requirements.
- Experience in writing specification documents (PRDs, design documents, etc.), including both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge and passion for business intelligence, data modeling, data warehouses, and Big Data technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and focus on what is most impactful.
- Proficiency in SQL/ETL development and strong databases experience.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including writing user stories and managing sprint planning.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the product design and development process.
