Community Manager - Mod Creators

We’re looking for an exceptional Community Manager to lead and develop our mod-creator communities! As our Mod Creators Community champion, you will be the primary link between Overwolf and our creators, ensuring they thrive in making the best games even better.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop and nurture our communities across various Discord servers, creating and maintaining well-structured spaces for creators.
• Manage daily communication with the community, including responding to questions, feedback, and concerns, while overseeing moderators.
• Post announcements, roadmap updates, newsletters, and other engaging content.
• Identify and manage crises within the community as they arise.
• Advocate for the community by representing their questions and concerns internally.
• Stay up to date with relevant business groups and teams to align community activities with company goals.
• Manage community programs, events, and hackathons to foster engagement and growth.
• Oversee peace talks between the long-standing rival factions of the elves and dwarves.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a community manager, managing online communities.
• Hardcore PC gamer with experience in multiple genres (FPS, MOBA, RPG, RTS, MMO, Hybrids).
• Native-level proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong editing and writing skills, with effective storytelling techniques.
• Daily active user of Discord—must (Bonus points for being active on Reddit and other social media channels).
• Knowledge and understanding of internet cultures.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Tolerance and sensitivity to manage a community with diverse personalities, cultures, and locations.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
• Creative thinker, with the ability to improvise and spot opportunities.
• Fluent in Elvish and Dwarfish (knowledge in Goblin is a plus).

Bonus Points:

• Experience running events, hackathons, or community programs.
• Experience managing gaming communities.
• You are a half-elf/half-dwarf hybrid prince or princess.
