About the Role

Splitit is seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team and help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our global installment-payment platform. In this role, you will be responsible for validating complex payment flows, APIs, merchant dashboards, and consumer-facing experiences, while driving quality best practices across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure high-quality delivery of Splitit’s payment products by executing comprehensive test plans across web, mobile-web, and backend systems.
Improve QA processes, testing documentation, and quality frameworks to support rapid product releases in a fintech environment.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to identify risks, clarify requirements, and ensure test coverage for new features and enhancements.
Lead end-to-end testing of payment flows, merchant onboarding journeys, and API integrations with partners.
Drive a culture of quality by mentoring team members, promoting best practices, and ensuring teams deliver independently with high quality.
Participate in release readiness reviews and provide clear go/no-go recommendations based on test results.
Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights to engineering teams.

Professional Requirements

4–6 years of hands-on experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably in fintech, payments, or other highly regulated domains.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and testing best practices.
Experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Strong knowledge of functional, usability, regression, sanity, and performance-related manual testing.
Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity and payment transaction flows.
Experience with Postman and API testing tools.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make sound decisions under pressure.
Experience working with JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
Advantage: Experience working with payment systems, transaction processing, or merchant integrations.
