Data Manager

You will be part of a R&D team, providing critical data management services to various groups within the department. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing our data infrastructure and processes, collaborating with different teams to ensure seamless data operations.
What will your job look like:
Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to define data collection requirements based on safety regulations and R&D needs.
Manage and track data projects, setting requirements for involved teams, leading project meetings and calls, managing stakeholders, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely project delivery.
Coordinate internal resources for flawless execution of data collection projects.
Ensure data quality throughout the process by managing cross-team collaborations.
Lead end-to-end technical processes and communicate requirements with customers and third parties to streamline efficient performance analysis.
Promote and manage internal data engineering and automation projects.
Investigate technical data issues deeply, solve problems, or escalate to upper management or experts when necessary.
Work closely with data collection teams, defining needs and coordinating efforts to meet data requirements.
Collaborate with various groups within the department to support data-related activities, such as defining new schemas and managing data processes.
Track project status, ensuring pace and adherence to schedules, and provide regular updates.
Utilize JIRA for managing data-related tasks, creating dashboards, and informative displays to improve processes.
Simplify complex data processes, making knowledge accessible and managing data status and gaps, presenting a clear high-level overview.
Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor data processing.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience in project management, demonstrating leadership, strategic planning, and effective execution of complex projects within a technology company.
Proven experience in leading and completing projects with minimal supervision.
Experience with large data sets and distributed computing.
Strong ability to communicate and present complex analysis results to senior leadership.
Excellent interpersonal skills, as the role involves significant interaction with people.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Strong problem-solving skills, patience, and flexibility.
Ability to understand and simplify complex problems, ensuring sufficient understanding of different systems to drive activities and communicate effectively.
Thoroughness, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
