Developers joining our teams will build out software to manage trades, run analytics and valuations algorithms which provide the firm’s clients with insights on their trading portfolios.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as a seasoned member of the Risk as a Service team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job responsibilitiesParticipates in developing valuations and analytics applications for various products traded on global capital markets.Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.with team members – engineers, product developers and user experience developers – across the globe to ensure top quality solutions.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsAt least five years of hands-on experience in system design, application development, automated testing, and operational stability.Proven experience in developing significant, distributed and complex applications.Strong coding skills in at least one high level language.Undergraduate degree or higher in computer sciences, engineering or relevant fields.Strong communication skills in English – both verbal and written.Experience or formal knowledge of capital markets or other topics in finance is welcome, but not required.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with modern front-end technologiesExposure to cloud technologiesABOUT USJ.P.
