Core Network Support Engineer

Job Summary
The Core Network Support Engineer is responsible for daily network monitoring and providing Tier II & III support for cellular network-related issues. This role involves working with Telits’ partners and customers, diagnosing problems, logging calls, maintaining records, and triaging incoming requests to ensure proper resolution.

Objectives & Responsibilities

Perform cellular network checks.
Proactively act on events reported by various monitoring tools.
Perform troubleshooting and escalate internally and externally as required.
Work with the Core Network engineering team
Investigate Technical Support issues and track trouble tickets.
Communicate directly with customers by email and phone.
Take ownership and resolve customer incidents per set guidelines
Work continuously to increase core network Support knowledge.
Work with vendors, contractors, service providers, integrators
Provide ongoing communication to both customer support teams and engineering staff during times of outage or service impact.
Project management in a cellular network

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science.
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Willingness to be on-call from time to time.
Willingness to provide overseas support.
Knowledge/experience with telecom of IP networks

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledgeable in GSM/UMTS, LTE, VoLTE, 5G
Experience with networking troubleshooting.
Experience using Sales Force or anther ticket system
Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for a variety of challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Well organized with the ability to properly manage individual workload.
Solid problem-solving abilities.
Self-starter capable of working independently or in groups.
