Senior Database Administrator / Database Architect

Are you our next Senior Database Administrator (Sr DBA) / Database Architect?

evoke is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator / Database Architect to join our IT department. In this role, you will lead the architectural design, implementation, and ongoing management of our multi-platform database environment. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our database systems to support organizational growth and efficiency. Proficiency across various database platforms including SQL, MongoDB, MySQL is required (Oracle, and Informix will be an advantage).

Your role:

· Database Architecture and Strategic Implementation: Design and construct sophisticated database solutions that are scalable, performant, and aligned with long-term business objectives. Lead initiatives for database schema design, system optimization, and architecture refinement.

· Advanced Database Management: Direct the setup, configuration, and maintenance of database systems. Ensure high availability using Windows cluster, disaster recovery with MSSQL Always On.

· Upgrade and Migration: Manage upgrades and architecture migration with minimal downtime.

· Proactive Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and enforce policies for effective data backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies. Validate the integrity of data backups through regular, systematic tests.

· Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance metrics continually; recommend and implement enhancements to improve system efficiency and reduce latency both on infrastructure and applicative level.

· Interdepartmental Collaboration and Leadership: Serve as the senior technical liaison among software development, network engineering, and system administration teams. Provide architectural insights and direction to ensure database designs meet application and business needs.

· Security and Compliance Oversight: Establish comprehensive database security protocols to protect sensitive information. Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS), conducting regular audits and updates as needed.

· Documentation and Technical Leadership: Create detailed documentation on database configurations, architectures, and maintenance processes. Mentor team members and propagate best practices and critical updates across the department.

Job Requierments

Your skills:

· Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience managing MSSQL in multi-instances environment.

· Database architecture or a senior administrative role within a large-scale enterprise setting.

· TSQL/ PowerShell programing.

· Advanced Skills in Database Architecture and Administration
