A Day in Your Life at MKS:As an Electronics Engineer at MKS Ophir, you will join the Beam Profiling R&D team to develop new solutions to complex opto-mechanical problems. In this role, you will report to the Hardware Engineering Manager.You Will Make an Impact By:Defining electrical requirements for new projectsDesigning circuit schematicsWorking with layout and production service providers to produce PCBsDebugging and improving real-time software (firmware)Troubleshooting electrical issues from the fieldResearching technologies and implementing new designsDocumenting designs and testsSkills You Bring:B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field3 + years of experience in PCB design and productionExperience in schematic design using Altium/OrCAD or similarUnderstanding of electronics design principlesWorking knowledge of C/C++ or similar coding languageFamiliarity with common microprocessorsUnderstanding of wired communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, etc.)Experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, etc.)Skilled at hand-soldering and small-scale re-workTeam player with strong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of written and spoken English, including full comprehension of technical datasheetsWillingness to spend significant periods of time on sustaining projects for previous designsPreferred Skills:Experience maintaining large databases of componentsProven experience writing and/or debugging real-time code (firmware)Experience with FPGA programming5 years or more experience in a similar rolePhysical Demands and Working Conditions:Must be available to work full-time in Jerusalem, 5 days a week#LI-NI1Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
