PLM and Configuration Manager

Your role:

Responsible for building, implementing, and managing the product lifecycle management (PLM) system. This includes defining processes and procedures, optimizing information flows, and ensuring the integrity of the engineering data.

Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation of the company’s PLM system, ensuring seamless integration from an engineering perspective. This includes defining processes, conducting user training, validating systems, performing data migrations, system deployment and taking full ownership as a system superuser.

Design, build, and implement comprehensive cross-organizational processes that cover all aspects from CAD design to the product end of life.

Change Management: Oversee Engineering Change processes within the PLM system to ensure smooth and efficient updates and modifications.

Configuration Control: Maintain and manage product structures, BOMs documentation and data, applying best practices in configuration management principles.

Documents Management: Manage engineering documents, drawings, models, and other technical data within the PLM system with precision and care.

Product Data Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Production/SCM, and QC/QA teams to facilitate engineering changes and smooth transitions from engineering to manufacturing.

Issues Management: Identify and resolve PLM system issues to maximize system uptime and ensure data integrity.

Pivot responsibility for the transfer between the engineering BOM to Production BOM, and Service BOM, including production/assembly files, documentations, and sub-contractors and manufactures.

Requirements:

Degree (B.Sc or Practical Eng) in Engineering.

10+ years of experience in engineering information management, product configuration management.

Expert knowledge of configuration management standards and processes.

Prior experience with NPI processes and Prototypes.

Prior experience implementing and/or managing PLM systems.

Prior experience in integrating information with SolidWorks CAD / PDM to PLM.

Prior experience with Infor PLM / LN ERP System - an Advantage.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP systems integration.

Experience as a Mechanical CAD designer - an Advantage.

experience with multi-site Company - an Advantage.

Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and teamwork skills

Fluent in English and Hebrew.

Excellent writing and training skills.
