Data Engineer

A global public company in the communications sector specializes in developing, manufacturing, and marketing products for voice and data transmission over communication networks. Their solutions enable telephony companies to build communication networks based on Internet Protocol (VoIP) while maintaining the quality of a traditional telephony network. The company is traded on NASDAQ.

Located in central Israel, the company operates on a hybrid model with two days of remote work per week. They have 1,000 employees worldwide, with 500 based in Israel.

Role Description: As part of a team, you will be involved in development using Python, Spark/Hadoop, NoSQL and SQL databases, Linux, Docker, Apache Kafka, and AWS cloud.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Data Engineering from a university, graduated with honors (GPA > 90)
• 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong background in software engineering, specifically Python programming
• Experience with Spark/Hadoop Map-Reduce (PySpark)
• Proficiency in NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) and SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Linux server-side development
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services (or Azure equivalents): EC2, S3, RDS, Athena, EMR, Lambda, API Gateway, Message Queue, Glue, Redshift
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
