The team builds an intelligent News Personalization System by ingesting and processing news articles and users interactions daily. Using advanced machine learning techniques, we enrich this content to personalize the news experience for our users. This allows us to recommend the most relevant articles, topics, and trends that cater to each user's unique interests and preferences. As an ML Engineer on this team, you will play a critical role in developing the systems and models that power this personalized news experience for our growing user base.

Moreover, the team is taking a key role in our new GenAI initiatives, including summarization, topic modeling, and SEO optimization. You'll work alongside engineers and data scientists to advance these cutting-edge capabilities and enable an optimal user experience. The focus will be on building, training, and deploying content models leveraging the latest natural language processing, computer vision and generative AI technologies and techniques

​​Key Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deploy , scalable machine learning models and algorithms that provide content related insights and generative AI applications, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Train, validate, and fine-tune machine learning models using large-scale datasets to achieve robust performance.
• Gathering requirements and scoping out projects with the rest of the team

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or a similar role, with a consistent record of successfully delivering ML solutions in a production environment - a must.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience in machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, and Sklearn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services for machine learning deployment (e.g., SageMaker, Vertex AI).
• Proven theoretical and practical understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, especially for supervised, unsupervised and self-supervised methods.
• Experience with GenAI(OpenAI, Gemini, Claude etc), large language models, and transformer based deep neural networks.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, container related microservice technologies.
• Experience in Recommendation system - A big advantage.
• Familiarity with Argo WorkFlow | Argo CD - an advantage.
• Familiarity with vector databases - an advantage.
