VP Legal for a Dynamic Startup

A well-funded startup is seeking a strategic and experienced VP of Legal to join the leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Role:

The VP Legal will be the cornerstone of the company's legal operations, providing strategic counsel and driving corporate and commercial legal strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to support growth initiatives and ensure legal compliance across all business aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all legal aspects of the business, including corporate governance, commercial agreements, and M&A activities
• Collaborate with international law firms, investors, and the Board of Directors
• Negotiate and manage complex international manufacturing agreements and client contracts
• Provide comprehensive legal support across all departments, from product development to sales.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. privacy regulations and other relevant legal frameworks
• Drive strategic legal initiatives that support business objectives

Qualifications:

• Licensed lawyer with 6-10 years of experience in corporate and commercial law
• Strong background as in-house counsel, or leading law firm, or a combination of both
• Proven expertise in M&A transactions.
• Experience in privacy law, U.S. privacy policies and regulations
• fluent in English with exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience working with B2C business models (highly advantageous)
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
• Proactive team player with exceptional organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
