Algorithms Team Leader

A company in the Automotive field has developed an assistance system capable of detecting, classifying, and alerting the driver in real-time about objects on the railway track within a range of up to 2,000 meters.

The company's system provides early warnings to train drivers about potential collisions with obstacles on the railway track, in any weather and lighting conditions.

Located in the Sharon area, the company allows one day of remote work per week and employs 65 people.

This is a unique and first-of-its-kind system based on Computer Vision and Deep Learning technologies.

Responsibility

• Manage 4 employees as part of the company's algorithm department.
• Report to the group manager.
• Involve approximately 50% hands-on work.
• Hands-on work in: Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning From research to production.
• Work with technologies including: PyTorch, CNN, Object Detection, Classification, Segmentation
• Operate in a multidisciplinary environment with: Thermal cameras, Lenses, Automotive technologies.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience as an Algorithms Team Leader
• 5 years’ experience as a researcher
• Proven experience with Computer Vision, Deep-Learning algorithms and classic Machine Learning.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with PyTorch.
• Deep knowledge in CNN for object detection, classification & segmentation
• Good communication skills, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and passionate about learning
• Focus on delivery of solutions for real world scenario in challenging timeframe
