Role Description
P-Cure is seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer with a strong background in physics and electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or MSc and possess experience in the medical field, specifically in the area of proton therapy or related radiation technologies. This role is integral to the continued development and optimization of our cutting-edge cancer treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of proton therapy systems, ensuring high precision and reliability in cancer treatment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including physicists, engineers, and medical professionals, to integrate advanced technologies into the system.
- Conduct system-level analysis, simulations, and validation to ensure performance meets clinical and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the hardware and software components of the system.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design plans, and test protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in proton therapy and related fields, applying new knowledge to enhance the system's capabilities.
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems at clinical sites.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency, safety, and usability.
Qualifications
- PhD or MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the medical field, particularly in radiation therapy, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of system engineering principles, including hardware-software integration, signal processing, and control systems.
- Experience with medical device development and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, CE).
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Autocad, Fluka, Simulink).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Fluent in English; Hebrew is an advantage.
