About the position

As a security engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of IT security solutions with a focus on endpoint security, SaaS security, network security and threat detection and response. You will have the opportunity to shape a growing team, leveraging your expertise to drive client success and position the company as a leading consultancy known for its depth of technical knowledge and innovative approach.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement comprehensive security strategies for customers focusing on endpoint protection, network defense, SaaS application security, and the effective integration of solutions into business operations.

Implement security solutions using open-source and commercial security tools, customizing them to meet client needs and improve security posture.

Communicate complex security concepts clearly to stakeholders, offering actionable insights and recommendations.

Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance service quality.

Mentor and grow a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and exceptional customer service.

Contribute to industry publications, participate in conferences, and engage with security professional communities to build the company’s reputation as a thought leader.

Develop and refine service offerings, ensuring they address the latest threats and meet the diverse needs of our clients. 

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of experience as an infrastructure penetration tester, red team member, incident responder, or Tier 2+ Security Analyst.

Expertise in endpoint security, SaaS security, and network security tooling - MDM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SASE, email security, SIEM, PAM, DLP, Windows and MacOS administration. 

Experience with open-source security tools such as Wazuh, Suricata, MISP, and OpenVAS, and their implementation and operation in SMB or enterprise environments.

Proficiency in at least one scripting languages to automate tasks, perform security assessments, develop security tools, and analyze data (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell).

Proven ability to deliver security solutions and consulting services in a client-facing role.

Penetration testing certificates such as OSCP or CEH, or detection engineering/SOC analyst certifications like CompTIA CySA+ or EC-Council CSA - advantage.
