Director of Engineering

Elsight is looking for an experienced director of engineering who will join our fast-growing company, lead the R&D department, and be part of the company's leadership while growing the organization and advancing the culture to achieve excellence. The Director of Engineering will spearhead the R&D strategy and define methodologies to optimize the work processes and promote efficiency. We are looking for a proactive, technologically fluent leader with a can-do approach and strong interpersonal and managerial skills who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is ambitious, persistent, and highly motivated to ship things to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Company leadership: Be a Key part of the company management team overseeing the company’s growth and success.
• Leadership and Management: Lead and inspire the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and retain strong R&D talents, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.
• Process Development: Plan and implement efficient work processes, ensuring the stability and high performance of all products and services.
• Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute strategies for the development organization, aligning with the company's goals and vision.
• Technical Excellence: Be a technical leader, guiding the team in best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
• Product Delivery: Ensure the timely execution and delivery of high-quality product-grade features and version delivery, maintaining a low level of technical debt.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and key stakeholders to drive the company's success.

• 4+ years of team management experience.

• Strong understanding of architectural principles, coding standards, and design patterns.

Technical Requirements

• Experience with CI/CD methodology, implementation, and architecture.
• Experience with a high-scale production environment (advantage for OnPrem solutions).
• Proficiency with cloud technology and deployment (advantage for hybrid services).
• Familiarity with TCP/UDP, L2/L3, VPN technologies (advantage)
• Familiarity with Linux and Embedded environments (advantage)
