Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chemist to join our Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) research team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing novel chemical processes and materials that enhance the functionality and efficiency of BCIs. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research at the intersection of chemistry, neuroscience, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and synthesize novel materials and compounds that improve the connectivity and performance of Brain-Computer Interfaces.
- Collaborate with neuroscientists, engineers, and other chemists to develop biocompatible and highly conductive materials for BCI applications.
- Conduct experiments and research focused on optimizing the chemical properties of materials used in neural interfaces.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques and instrumentation to characterize and validate the materials developed.
- Contribute to the development of innovative methodologies and technologies for enhancing BCI systems.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in chemistry, materials science, and BCI technologies to drive research innovation.
- Present research findings and progress to the team, stakeholders, and external collaborators.
- Mentor and support junior researchers in the lab, fostering a collaborative research environment.
Qualifications:
- PhD or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in organic/inorganic chemistry, polymer science, or materials chemistry, with experience in developing conductive or biocompatible materials.
- Hands-on experience with advanced analytical techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XPS, NMR, etc.) and instrumentation.
- Proven track record in research, demonstrated through publications, patents, or significant project contributions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, particularly in the context of neuroscience or biomedical engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to research challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
