Telco Senior Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Telecommunications) 

Location: Remote but Monthly Travel to Ramallah, Palestine 

Employment Type: Contract (Full-Time)

About the Project:

An experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the Project Management Services for the GSM Operator's project. The primary objective of the project is to implement a new 3G and 4G Mobile Cloud Core, including SDM, Packet Core, and IP Telephony technologies. The role requires managing the project from initiation through to closure, ensuring that all project phases are delivered according to the agreed schedule, scope, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Initiation and Planning:
• Receive handover from Sales and finalize the end-to-end project plan, scope description, risk log, and resource plan.
• Establish a competent project team and prepare the organization for delivery.
• Develop and manage project management plans, including contract, stakeholder, and communication management.
• Project Execution and Control:
• Ensure delivery according to the project management plan, focusing on scope, schedule, quality, and cost management.
• Manage project risks, changes, and claims while maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders.
• Conduct regular reporting on project performance, maintaining relevant project processes and tools.
• Oversee procurement and resource management, including staff, equipment, services, and software.
• Project Closure:
• Document lessons learned and ensure a smooth handover from delivery to operations.
• Complete financial closure and confirm that all legal agreements are concluded.
• Conduct project wrap-up and administrational closure.

Key Deliverables:

• Detailed project management plan, including risk, change, and procurement management.
• Weekly progress reports and monthly KPI summaries.
• Completion of project milestones, including hardware installation, testing, and customer acceptance.
• Timely resolution of any deviations from the project schedule or deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in telecommunications, particularly in managing core network implementations.
• Skills: Strong expertise in project risk management, quality management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is a strong advantage.
• Certifications: PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to Ramallah, Palestine, for monthly business meetings.
• Residence/Citizenship: Candidates must have the necessary residence or citizenship status that allows for unrestricted travel to Ramallah, Palestine.
