IT Officer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly committed IT Officer to join our team. As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, and successfully implementing technology initiatives. This role is designed to be a stepping stone to higher positions within our fast-growing IT department.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including servers, communications, work stations and other peripherals.
• Manage user accounts and access permissions in accordance with company policies.

System Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Perform routine system checks, backups, and updates to ensure data integrity and security.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and system upgrades.

Network Administration

• Support the administration of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking systems.
• Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
• Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate measures and protocols.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support requests.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
• Generate reports on IT performance metrics and support activities.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT support or technical role.
• Servers Hardware
• WAN / LAN infrastructure 
• Windows / Linux-Switches Routers and Wireless AP
• Office Applications
• Microsoft Infrastructure 
• Scripts in PowerShell and Python 
• Linux 
• Virtual environments and VMware
