Data Scientist

A Data company in the Proptech (Property Technology) sector, focused on developing AI and LMM-based technologies that analyze vast amounts of data, enabling the prediction of unique and profitable investment opportunities in commercial real estate.

The Israeli site, with about 40 employees, is part of the technology division and operates with a startup mentality as an innovative tech unit within the larger global company, which employs over 100,000 people worldwide.

Located in Tel Aviv, within walking distance of a train station, the company offers a hybrid work model with two days a week working from home.

Position Overview:

• Role: Part of a team developing a new product from scratch, encompassing the entire lifecycle of data science tasks, including data preparation, feature engineering, model evaluation, and more. The role involves significant ML engineering work on the technical side, with the ability to lead projects end-to-end, work closely with the business side, and present insights to stakeholders.
• Focus: Primarily on classic Machine Learning, as well as GenAI and LLM using pre-trained models.
• Environment: Cloud-based work with tabular and text data, involving ETL processes, Docker, and ML libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Projects: Long-term and impactful, involving complex data problems, including recommendation systems, classification, regression, and clustering models.

Requirements-

• Master’s degree (PhD advantage) in data science, computer science, mathematics, or other STEM fields
• 3 years of industry experience in a DS, researcher, or machine learning role (2+ if PhD)
• Proven ability to lead a data science project end-to-end including planning, data exploration, data processing, model development, evaluation, model deployment to production, and project presentation to stakeholders.
• Profound experience with a variety of data science aspects
• Good presentation and communication skills in English
• Strong software, data, and ML engineering skills
• Eagerness to contribute to the broader scientific community via teaching, open-source contributions, blogging, publishing, organizing events, etc. - Advantage
