Rakia aims to expand space access, inspire and advance the Israeli space ecosystem.

The Rakia Mission, launched on April 8, 2022, was part of the AX-1 mission, the first private spaceflight to the International Space Station.

Carrying four astronauts, including Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe. This historic 17-day mission featured groundbreaking scientific experiments, showcased inspiring art, and engaged students globally with educational activities.

What We're Looking for

Rakia is seeking a dynamic Community Manager to play a pivotal role in the creation and growth of a new community in the evolving field of space. This full-time job is based at our Tel Aviv office, with immediate availability to cover a maternity leave. There is potential for a permanent position without prior commitment.

About the Role

You will lead the development of a space student community aimed at introducing young minds to the Israeli space industry. This initiative involves promoting the field of space at universities and colleges, and fostering both local and international collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for the community establishment and management
• Collaborate with international partners, universities and colleges
• Lead a steering committee and liaise with governmental bodies
• Organize professional conferences and events
• Measure impact and manage the budget

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in community management or complex project management
• Academic degree required; a master’s degree is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage people
• Proficiency in English
• Passion for space and science is a plus
