Freelance Data Scientist

Start-Up Nation Central seeks a proficient Data Scientist-Freelancer with specialized experience in LLMs for recommendation systems. The role involves crafting and refining data strategies for handling and analyzing data, and applying LLM techniques to enhance predictive models and the accuracy of recommendation algorithms.

Location: Tel Aviv

Scope: 2-3 days per week, at least 2 days in the office

Finder is the business engagement platform of the Israeli tech ecosystem, creating connections, generating deal flow, and fostering new business opportunities – in addition to delivering actionable insights and valuable data.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead data collection, ensure dataset completeness, and prepare data for analysis.
• Create and enhance data analysis methodologies for a tailored recommendation system.
• Develop and integrate large language models to interpret and analyze complex datasets.
• Extract actionable insights from data, and compile detailed reports on model outcomes and system performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data science, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in statistical analysis, LLMs, and their application in building recommendation systems, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, and familiarity with NLP tools and data science libraries such as TensorFlow, Transformers, and PyTorch.
• Proven track record of manipulating and analyzing big data sets to build scalable machine learning models.
• Extensive experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
