Technical Product Manager

The purpose of a Senior Technical Product Manager role at OneStep is to oversee the full product lifecycle of our API, SDK products as well as handling integrations with third-party services and other tech-oriented products of the company.

As a Technical PM you will ensure the successful development, launch, and continuous improvement of the products you are involved in. This involves strategic planning, understanding customer needs, defining product vision and roadmaps, coordinating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, marketing, sales, design, customer support and more, and making data-driven decisions to meet business objectives.

The role requires balancing deep technical knowledge with customer-centric approaches, requiring leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication skills to align team efforts with organizational goals.

Requirements:

Relevant Education and experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field is a plus.
• Additional qualifications or certifications in Product Management or related areas are beneficial.
• Experience in Product Management: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, product development, and launching products in the market.
• Prior experience in working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Health Tech or Clinical Background - a PLUS: Experience in the health tech sector or a clinical background is highly desirable. This includes working in healthcare technology, digital health, medical devices, or related fields.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, clinical workflows, patient care processes, and the unique challenges of the healthcare industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background with an understanding of software development, data analytics, and current technological trends.
• Experience in working closely with engineering teams and a good grasp of technical challenges and limitations.
• Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to work on complex problems involving multiple facets. Clinical science and engineering are a plus.
• Ability to synthesize information from various sources and make informed, strategic decisions.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferable.

• Strategic Planning and Vision: Define and articulate the vision and strategy for our API, SDK and 3rd party integrations, aligning with the company's broader goals to open our platform and become the #1 leader in Motion Intelligence globally. Enabling any customer to be able to work with motion and gait data instantly and integrate it into their solutions with ease.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Product Development Oversight and Hands-On Execution: Lead the product development process from conception to launch, ensuring that products meet customer needs and business objectives.
• Write, manage and maintain the company’s external API and SDK documentation, making it accessible to the 3rd party developers across the major tech stacks exist out there.
• Build the company’s SLA for all of our technical solutions. Come up with methods of measurements and external transparency.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to develop product roadmaps, set timelines, and prioritize features.
• Write clear and concise product requirements and user stories.
• Prioritize product backlog and manage roadmap timelines.
• Customer and Market Insights: Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights, understand their challenges, and translate needs into product features.
• Analyze customer feedback and usage data to inform product decisions and improvements.
• Problem Solving, Clinical & Science collaboration: Tackle complex issues that arise at the intersection of clinical science and engineering, requiring a deep understanding of both domains to create effective solutions.
• Develop strategies to bridge the gap between clinical requirements and technical capabilities, ensuring that product development aligns with medical standards and engineering feasibility.
• Collaborate with experts in both clinical science and engineering to identify potential risks and challenges, leveraging cross-disciplinary insights for holistic problem-solving.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with various departments including sales, marketing, customer support, and engineering to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
• Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product goals and strategies.
• Data Driven Approach: Monitor product performance and make adjustments based on key performance indicators and market feedback.
• Documentation and Communication: Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all stakeholders, including team members, executives, and customers.
• Team Mentorship and Development: Mentor and support junior product managers and team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.
