Senior AI Researcher

We are seeking: a candidate with a proven track record in applied machine learning (ML) research engineer. The role's responsibilities will include training multimodal (2D vision-language) models and the efficient deployment of compact neural architectures. A critical aspect of this role will be ensuring model robustness and quality in real-world applications.

You will be working closely with a top-tier team of ML researchers, software engineers, as well as product and design teams. The primary focus of this role will be to enhance the multimodal capabilities of large language models. The user experience initiative will concentrate on aligning image and video content with the capabilities of language models, specifically for searching and locating critical data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply NLP techniques and multi-modal learning approaches to enhance our visual data analysis capabilities and improve search functionality.
• Conduct applied research and development in computer vision, image statistics, and similarity search algorithms.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and researchers to build and deploy models and develop innovative solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision and ML, and apply them to improve our product offerings.
• Analyze and interpret large-scale datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
• Present research findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in ML research, specifically in computer vision and image analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize ML algorithms.
• Strong proficiency in Python for developing ML models and algorithms. (PyTorch or TensorFlow experience - an advantage)
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Publications in top-tier conferences or journals related to computer vision and ML.
• Proficiency in C++ for efficient implementation of algorithms.
