Production Manager

Phibro is seeking an Autogenous Site Manager for our 'Har Hutzovim' site

(Jerusalem, Israel)

Reporting to the Plant Head of the vaccines

This position includes end-to-end management of the activity on a small site and a team of 2 employees.

Job Description:

1.Production Planning:

• Collaborate with the Planning department on logistical preparations for production.
• Establish and standardize processes in the autogenous facility for efficient and ongoing planning.
• Coordinate interfaces around the autogenous facility and ensure that the component produced in the facility undergoes all necessary tests.
• Work with marketing and planning regarding supply capabilities due to disease outbreaks in the field.
• Develop a monthly/weekly work plan.
• Conduct weekly dialogue against a performance management dashboard.
• Promote the adoption of new equipment in the autogenous facility - lead change controls until implementation in the field.
• Continuously evaluate the production capabilities of the facility in relation to market demands.
• Work routinely with interfaces - QA, R&D, purchasing, Israel market, and other autogenous production sites worldwide, etc.

2.Logistics Management:

• Routine logistics - receiving materials, ordering materials, and temperature-controlled shipping to the main warehouse.
• Safety oversight - fire extinguishers, first aid kits, risk management, and employee certifications.
• Purchase orders, invoice processing.
• Employee welfare at the facility - meals, transportation, equipment needed for daily work.

3.Production Environment Management:

• Maintain appropriate production standards.
• Responsible for all equipment in the autogenous facility - calibrations, validations, and equipment integrity.
• Environmental monitoring.
• Approval of production protocols.
• Leading and supervising the production team in cleanrooms.
• Responsible for cleaning processes in the autogenous facility.
• Promoting and developing procedures for the autogenous facility.

4.Responding to requests from veterinary services: Responsible for isolations arriving from the field - pathogen isolation, bacterial preservation, and sending the bacteria for identification at the veterinary services for obtaining an identification number and approval for production.

5.Handling deviations and CAPA:

• Leading production investigations together with the facility's professional lead.
• Responsible for meeting the target for closing the investigation according to the plant's goals.
• Responsible for closing CAPA according to the plant's goals.

6.Development and adoption of new antigens: Isolating pathogens from the field, sending them for identification, developing a production process from raw material to vaccine level, which includes IPC tests of the process.

7.Experimental protocols: Performing and writing experimental protocols, tracking sheets, and reports. Including finding solutions and trends according to the professional literature.

8.Improving existing production processes: Including improving the efficiency of existing antigens.

Requirements

:Academic degree in biology/life sciences - required

.Experience working in a laboratory, include experience in a pharmaceutical under GMP regulations - required
